The aptly named Coming 2 America sees an older Akeem, now the monarch of his country, learn that he has a long-lost son from his time in the United States, and returns to meet his new unexpected heir. In the original film, Akeem is a young prince who leaves his royal origins in Africa and travels to New York in search of his true love.
